I’m launching my new book, Ships in Small Bottles, in January to ring in 2021. It’s a collection of 40 Psalms with poems and projects that engage each one in an utterly new way. To invite you into the idea of a “kinetic devotional” that asks you to put your hands on materials as a means of meditation, I’ve designed treats to enrich your advent as we close out the difficult year we’ve faced in 2020.
Every Wednesday in December, I’ll be posting a project, like those I designed for the Psalms, to correspond with daily readings in The Other Stars Hover & Wait. This gives you four chances to wrap your hands around the ideas in the poem, scripture, and prayer for that day. I hope these provide some peace, hope, and joy as you make your way through this season.
Think of these as messages in a bottle. You’re not alone. Light is coming. I will wait with you.
